Parenting is never an easy task. It comes from the deepest part of the heart. It comes with love, sacrifice, patience, endurance, and kindness.

God’s love is the perfect example of parental love. God created us, and continues to nurture us. God forgives us no matter the number of times we fall and get up and begin again to offend Him. God is ever compassionate, feeling with us in our pains, our heartbreaks, our mourning times and joyful times. God is our greatest friend at every moment, our only friend when everyone must have abandoned us. God is our greatest confidant, everything we lay in His hands are kept safe and secure.

Good parents, no matter their imperfections, are better imitators of God. They live through the anxiety and rubbles of life – not just their own life, but that of their kids. A great parent is marked by an unfathomable love.

We pray for all parents out there, those struggling to be there for their kids, those who ran through war zones, carrying their children for safety, to strange lands, parents who have to deal with the tasks of raising their children alone – single mothers/fathers – parents who have given their all for the sake of their kids, parents who are old, sick and dying. May God be their constant comfort, their reassurance of a hopeful future, and their sustainer and provided every time.
