In the triangular sketch of love network, the individual takes a critical point of departure, the individual loves, God and neighbor. The individual is the center, yet what he or she gives is only but what he or she has received from God who alone is LOVE in fullness.
Another point is that as the agent of love, the individual ought to love himself or herself. But how does this happen? Through the contemporary lavish of attention and luxury on oneself? Through the glorification of the self that seeks to place the individual as the center of all life? Or through a reverential fear of the person as an image of God, whose being is only but a gift that comes from above, and who is answerable to the ultimate Giver of all life and love, God? This is the challenge.
Once we understand this, the fear does not come again as a negative emotion, for nothing can ever threaten our peace, within ourselves and with others since we are founded in God.
