#SV – Logics & Fragments

The instruction that was given by Jesus on collecting the fragments is based on something very instructive, namely “so that nothing will be wasted” (John 6:12). Nothing should be wasted. In the hands of the super rich, particularly those that have managed to highjack the commonwealth of nations, they can afford to throw away the fragments, because for them, these are for the poor. #SV – The Double-faced Ego

There are two sides of the ego in us. The first side is the one that glories in what the self can do or achieve. It considers success as an unaided effort, achieved by the self alone; it compares oneself with others (I’m richer than…; I’m better than…); and it takes pleasure at the failure or misfortune of others. #SV – God is Innocent!

Oh yes, that’s the verdict. God is indeed innocent of the senseless deaths and destructions in our world today. God is life in itself. God is the giver of life both temporal, mortal life and eternal life. God is not only innocent of death and death-dealing elements, God is above death for God is life. That is why the commotion, weeping and even ridicule of the crowd at the house of the synagogue official disappeared once Jesus “took the child by the hand” (Mk.5:41). God conquered death and opened the door to life for all of us. When we step … Continue reading #SV – God is Innocent!

#SV – What Seed(s)?

What kind of seeds do we sow, yet we want God to make them grow? What kind of attitudes do we project, yet we want our society to be a place of peace and harmony? The mustard seed did not grow to become a pawpaw tree. The wheat seeds did not grow to become tares. We cannot spew hate and injustice and expect peace and harmony as outcome. We cannot show indifference and lack of compassion and expect the world to be a beautiful place. The kingdom of God is a place or state of joy, righteousness, peace and happiness, … Continue reading #SV – What Seed(s)?
