Today is also known as Sunday of Divine Mercy. Through the resurrection of Christ, we have received, as Peter puts it God’s “great mercy” that provides us with “a living hope”. The resurrection hope changes us, it renews us, it transforms us from our pitiable state of lack, sorrow, suffering and shame to a place of life, love, joy and thanksgiving.
