The free gift of faith that we received is not just ‘free manna’ from above. It is much more. It is a grace that puts us in the line of imitating God by first reconciling ourselves with God and then becoming ambassadors of this ministry of reconciliation. It is a mission, a ministry rather than a passive status of waiting for miracles. But you know what: everything about our lives is miracle, the gift of faith is miracle. What does it mean that God speaks in our hearts? It means that our hearts are completely surrendered to God as a ‘holy ground’ where everything divine comes forth, a place where divine Will is embraced and done.
